Do guests use less electricity if they pay for it themselves?

Whether guests use less energy is something you can calculate with your own figures: the consumption of an inattentive guest at your kWh rate and length of stay, versus the lower consumption of a guest who sees his balance going down in real time and responds to it. This works especially well in properties with air conditioning, sauna or hot tub, where the difference between economical and wasteful use is large. With low-consumption properties or few bookings, the calculation yields only a small amount.
