Live usage in app, charged per kWh

The guest sees electricity consumption directly in the app, based on the measurement transmitted by the module in the meter cabinet. After scanning the QR code in the accommodation, the app opens without requiring an account; the guest then purchases a certain amount of kWh and from that point sees the current usage and the remaining balance. As soon as the balance reaches zero, the standard circuits are switched off, and the refrigerator circuit continues to operate.

For a charging point, this works the same way: each charging point has its own QR code, its own tariff and its own measurement, even when an accommodation offers only a charging point and nothing else. As a result, the guest always has an up-to-date view of what has been used and what credit remains, without having to log in anywhere or sign any contract.

Basis: calibrated measurement and ACM framework

The fact that the guest can rely on the figures displayed in the app is based on the applicable regulations regarding electricity meters: Directive 2014/32/EU sets out in Annex V requirements regarding the accuracy and reliability of measuring instruments for electricity, and these requirements form the basis for measurement that can be considered reliable. In addition, the Autoriteit Consument & Markt ensures compliance with the rules in force when energy is supplied on to third parties, such as guests in rented accommodation; that framework is relevant to the way usage is measured and charged back to the person actually consuming the electricity.
